A New Chapter for Tiny Tots: Minnie’s Trip to the Doctor

We’re So Excited to Share Our New Book!

At Tiny Tots Health Initiative, our mission has always been simple: help children feel informed, empowered, and less afraid when it comes to their health. Today, we’re thrilled to share a small but meaningful milestone in that journey.

The Tiny Tots team is officially rolling out a brand-new children’s book: Minnie’s Trip to the Doctor! 

This gentle coloring story was created with one goal in mind, to help kids feel calmer and braver about doctor visits. Through simple language, friendly illustrations, and interactive coloring pages, Minnie’s Trip to the Doctor walks children through what to expect at an appointment, helping turn fear into familiarity.

Why This Book Matters

For many children, especially those navigating healthcare systems for the first time, doctor visits can feel overwhelming. We’ve seen firsthand how fear and confusion can create barriers to care.

This book is designed to:

• Normalize doctor visits in a child-friendly way

• Encourage questions and conversation between kids, caregivers, and providers

• Support emotional regulation through coloring and storytelling

• Promote early health literacy in a gentle, age-appropriate format

Built With Community in Mind

Like everything we do at Tiny Tots, this book was inspired by our work with clinics, families, and communities across the country. It reflects what we hear again and again from parents and providers: children do better when they understand what’s happening and feel seen.

We’re especially excited to share Minnie’s Trip to the Doctor with our clinic partners and to incorporate it into future Tiny Tots programming.
